Mr. Roe has over 20 years of experience working with major corporations and governments in Europe and North America. He began his career with 7 years of general practice and consulting experience with Coopers & Lybrand (now Pricewaterhouse Coopers) in Canada and the United Kingdom, serving a series of major clients including Kraft General Foods, Molson’s, Mazda, Suncor and Zurich Insurance.
In 1994, Mr. Roe joined Bombardier Aerospace. Over 10 years, he led key finance teams in Bombardier Business Aircraft, a business unit with annual revenues that reached $5 billion, and in Product Development. During his tenure in Product Development, Bombardier was in the midst of the most ambitious period of aircraft development in the history of civil aviation, with more than $1.5 billion invested in new aircraft programs such as the CRJ 700, the Dash 8 400, the Global Express, the Lear 45 and the Challenger 300. Mr. Roe was responsible for preparing the business case for the highly successful Challenger 300 aircraft program.
In 2004 Mr. Roe founded Tantallon Group – Innovators in Finance Support, a dynamic international consulting practice created to provide focused, value-added finance and market analysis and support. Services include market and business plan analysis, support in obtaining investor and creditor financing (including government programs), business process and internal control review and improvement, Sarbanes Oxley and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) implementation, merger and acquisition support, corporate policy and governance process review and improvement, and treasury and hedging management.
Tantallon Group has served a wide variety of clients sharing a global outlook including PricewaterhouseCoopers, CN, Bell Canada Enterprises, Industry Canada, Korn Ferry, and St. Lawrence Cement Group.
Mr. Roe holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queens University, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
Mr. Charpentier has over 30 years of experience in aviation. Editor and publisher of aerospace industry trade magazines from 1978 to 1984, Mr. Charpentier was awarded the ALCAN prize for articles published as aerospace contributor for the Canadian daily newspaper Le Devoir.
From 1985 to 2005, Mr. Charpentier was director of marketing at Canadair Inc. and regional vice-president, international sales, at Bombardier Aerospace where he achieved over $ 1.7 billion U.S. of sales to government, military and private operators in Europe. He acquired broad experience in aircraft procurement, development programs, bids and proposals, financing and offsets.
Since 2006, Mr. Charpentier has been a consultant to European firms in high technology, aerospace and defence projects and a senior advisor to BACK Aviation, now OAG Analytical Services, in Washington, D.C.
Holder of a commercial pilot licence, he obtained a Masters degree in Political Science (International Relations) from the University of Ottawa and an M.B.A. in Marketing and Finance from l’École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) in Montreal.
